The Kings Arms, Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire, England

Stow-on-the-Wold is one of the most well known of the Cotswold towns. Set on a hill top, it stands beside the Roman Fosse Way at its junction with six other roads, and where a settlement has existed since the Iron Age.

King Charles I came to Stow just before the battle of Naseby in 1645. This time he stayed the night, taking lodgings at the inn in the lower corner of the square now called The King’s Arms.

Five image stitch, three image HDR processing, with Photomatix, per image (Fifteen images in total); finished in Photoshop.

Nice shot of the buildings! I like that they were preserved and are still in use. Stowe looks like such a pretty town. I will put it down on places to see one day!
